“Hello, all. We won’t be able to attend this reunion. Jerry is recouping from colon cancer, doing good. He has been laid-off for nearly two years…….America, wake up! Seems all is being done overseas now. Jerry is in the engineering field, pretro-chemical. Have been fortunate to have all three children live within a two hour distance. No grandchildren as yet. We enjoy traveling, and the good old “southern hospital-ity”, eating Cajun food, Cajun music, water sports and God’s great world. Last night was hot-air balloons and fireworks, the best I’ve ever seen; with a patriotic theme to music. Life has been good….no com-plaints. (Who would listen? ha ha) The peace I have found in hard times is to trust God. I’ll pick up the Bible and what greater joy? That’s where it’s at! Great family, great co-workers – makes life great. Thanks for all your memories, hope to see you later. Would be nice to hear from you all year long.”
