Barry Freidel

“I spent 25 years in the U.S. Navy, most of it in the Submarine Service. I served aboard both old WW II diesel boats and the newer nuclear fast attack submarines. My specialty was in underwater weapons. I retired in 1987 in San Diego, CA. I then worked as a civilian contractor in San Diego for Uncle Sam up-dating, repairing and certifying fast attack and ballistic missile submarine weapons systems until 1996. Moved to Iowa in late 1996 and worked in a retirement/nursing home until September 2002. Then moved to Lawrenceburg, KY, in October of 2002; the winters are much milder here. We are presently building a new house, and should be moved in by October. I attended our 30 year reunion and had a great time. I wish I could attend our 40 year reunion but present health circumstances prevent that. I hope everyone who attends has an excellent experience. I look forward to attending our next reunion. “Hello” to all of my old classmates. You may e-mail if you wish. Advice??? Just be yourself.”
